The Story

For this project I had the challenge of learning pixel art on top of having to revert to my 2D art knowledge instead of using my 3D art knowledge which I had been so used to up to that point. While it was difficult at first, I was able to lean on my Art Lead and the other Enviornmental Artist for support. They taught me some good practices which I used in order to make larger assets like the title screen and backgrounds. These assets were actually then used on our Kickstarter where we raised $15000 USD. Afterwords I started to reflex on what the game needed. I had seen that the game was quite flat, so I had petitioned to add parallaxing and volunteered to do all of the needed assets to make this work. Over the course of summer 2024 I was able to create everything needed to have a nice and smooth parallaxing effect as seen in the video below. Now I've been assigned to creating the assets needed for our next level before our release at the start of 2025.
